Social Media Marketing in Seaside, CA
Frustrated with your social media marketing?
Things are not working as they should (or not at all?)
Many business owners and managers in Seaside and beyond had high hopes from Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Linked In, and other social media sites.
Just to be disappointed time and again.
Why is that?
3 Main Reasons
Mismatches
Followup
"Marketing Budget"
Let’s explain
1. Mismatches
- Customer-Product/Service Mismatch
Should a dermatologist try to sell Botox injections to millenials?
No. But their parents would make a better fit. - Customer-Message Mismatch
Should a lawn mower manufacturer try to use a woman swimsuit model to promote their product?
Probably not. Instead they should try to use Brasley Cooper as a spokesperson. - Customer-Media Mismatch
Should a Financial Planner advertise on a Teenager’s blog?
No. Unless the ad reads: “if you need more weekly allowance – have your Dad contact me.”
Any such mismatch makes your marketing ineffective and is a sure recipe for wasting marketing dollars.
Do you have a mismatch in your marketing?
2. Little or No Followup
There are another 37% that are likely to buy from you if you follow up properly.
If you don’t follow up with your prospects and/or leads – you will lose them.
Do you follow up properly?
3. Misunderstanding of “Marketing Budget”
Imagine a machine in which you put a quarter, pull a handle, and it spits $2 – every time. How many quarters would you put in?
That’s right. As many you could.
You’d even mortgage your home and sell your mother-in-law to the Taliban, just to get more quarters.
Now, if you were to put in a quarter in your marketing machine and pull out $2 in profits – every time, how many quarters would you allocate to your marketing?
Right again. As many as you could.
This is called a “Predictable Marketing Machine”.
Many businesses don’t have such of a predictable marketing machine and therefore don’t know what will be the return on their marketing investment.
That’s why they call it instead a “marketing budget“, limit it, and pray they will see a positive return.
Do you have a predictable marketing machine?

About Social Media Marketing
Social media marketing is the use of social media platforms and websites to promote a product or service.[1] Although the terms e-marketing and digital marketing are still dominant in academia, social media marketing is becoming more popular for both practitioners and researchers.[2] Most social media platforms have built-in data analytics tools, which enable companies to track the progress, success, and engagement of ad campaigns. Companies address a range of stakeholders through social media marketing, including current and potential customers, current and potential employees, journalists, bloggers, and the general public. On a strategic level, social media marketing includes the management of a marketing campaign, governance, setting the scope (e.g. more active or passive use) and the establishment of a firm’s desired social media “culture” and “tone.”
When using social media marketing, firms can allow customers and Internet users to post user-generated content (e.g., online comments, product reviews, etc.), also known as “earned media,” rather than use marketer-prepared advertising copy.
About Social Network Advertising
Social network advertising, also social media targeting, is a group of terms that are used to describe forms of online advertising that focus on social networking services. One of the major benefits of this type of advertising is that advertisers can take advantage of the users’ demographic information and target their ads appropriately.
Social media targeting combines current targeting options (such as geotargeting, behavioral targeting, socio-psychographic targeting, etc.), to make detailed target group identification possible. With social media targeting, advertisements are distributed to users based on information gathered from target group profiles.
